Egypt - operator restrictions
Please be informed that due to the escalating tensions and persistent protests, the government of Egypt has completely blocked all international SMS services into Egypt with immediate effect.

Due to the latest unrest and continued protests in Egypt, the Egyptian government ordered all telecoms companies to suspend their services.
Under current Egyptian legislation the authorities has the right to issue such an order and mobile operators have to oblige.
Both internet and mobile communications are affected.
