What is bulk SMS? Bulk SMS is sent when a text message is sent to a list of mobiles and all the messages contain the same sender ID as well as text.
Step 1.
On your computer, click on the Windows "START" button.
Click on "All programs"
Click on "Accessories"
Click on "Notepad" to open a notepad file (.txt file)
Enter all the numbers (maximum 2,500 numbers per file) you wish to send SMS to in the notepad file and save as a .txt file. Ensure that the correct number format is used for all numbers. The file name should not contain any underscore (_) or hypens (-) for example test_file.txt or test-file.txt - must be saved as one word for example testfile.txt
Note all numbers must be comma (,) seperated with no spaces, line breaks or carriage returns and no punctuation marks after the last number.
Save this file in a memorable place on your hard drive.
Step 2.
Select "Send messages" from the menu"
Step 3.
Click on "UPLOAD FILE" and follow the prompts to upload the text file with numbers from your computer.
Once you upload the file from your hard drive you will get this prompt - click on OK - the numbers will be entered into the "to" box.
Step 4.
Type the message you want to send into the designated field - Latin characters only, 160 characters including punctuation and spaces. Continue with this demo for Unicode messages or Click here
Step 5.
Click on "Send message" or schedule your SMS for a specific day, date and time. The single message will be delivered to the number specified in the uploaded file. Throughput from this web interface is 3 messages/second.
Companies sending volumes of 50,000 or higher have to use a http api or connect to our gateway with smpp. The http api allows for 5,000 numbers to be sent to per file uploaded. Please email us at: with your requirements.
