Web SMS also known as web internet texting, how does it work?

Web SMS takes place when clients have the ability to log on to a web site and send text messages from the web. The back-end attached to the web interface which clients see, consists of a database and a connection to a SMSC or a SMS gateway. When the users clicks on the "send" button, the text message is passed on to the SMSC which then delivers it to the mobile phone.

Web SMS is an example of streaming SMS where every message sent contains different text and has a unique sender ID - for example cases where end users send messages through a web site. (Web sms)
