PositiveSMS Product description:
Positive SMS is a free desktop tool to be used by individuals and businesses that wish to send SMS from their desktop to mobile phones. Network coverage is subject to the list provided on the site and testing.
Users are required to register for a username and password prior to use of the application. During registration the registrant is also required to submit their mobile number (international format = Country code + Area code + number If your country code is 1 for North America and your number is (613)555-1212 simply put in 16135551212). A validation code is sent to the number submitted during registration. Users are required to validate their account. The system will prompt the user after login until the validation code has been submitted. 10 Free test messages are allocated to each user that signs up for testing purposes.
The software includes a phone book and message history.
Throughput is 3 messages per second.
Delivery reports and advanced features such as time stamps are not available in the beta version.
PositiveSMSV2 includes bulk SMS, Unicode messaging, flash SMS and picture SMS.
Picture SMS is limited to black and white pictures only and each picture sent will be charged at 3 credits.
In order to send Unicode messages, the user's keyboard has to be set to the language they wish to send the SMS in - for example for Arabic messages the user has to set their keyboard to Arabic - select the Unicode icon, type the message, select the recipient from their phone book and click on send. Unicode messages are limited to 70 characters whereas normal English non-Latin character messages comply to the 160 GSM standard depending on the network the user send their text messages to. (Please note some networks only allows for 123 characters)

Backed up by a web site where the same username and password could be used to log in. The web site version also accommodates WAP bookmarks, business cards, online phone book, message history, reporting and unicode SMS for EU, Middle East and Asia.
A toolbar for use with FirefoxIE toolbar known as FirefoxIE SMS has been included in the latest FirefoxIE upgrade. This allows users to send SMS from their FirefoxIE Browser using the same platform as PositiveSMS. It is therefore possible for the user to log in from FriefoxIE browser, PositiveSMS V2 or www.SMSwarehouse.com with one single username and password, providing an additional option to communicate via SMS

International Network coverage is subject to the list provided and testing. South African networks (MTN, Vodacom, Cell C) are supported including Vodacom.
